Neighborhoods are a world unto themselves—a unique expression of culture, character, and everyday life. Through films, talks, and tours, The Radius Project seeks to capture the constructive spirit that often lies below the surface of each community.
Our free public events highlight the achievements that help neighborhoods define themselves. By exploring each geographic radius, we uncover stories, people, and ideas that reveal the distinctive strengths of a place.
At the heart of The Radius Project are the hopes, dreams, and lived experiences of individuals committed to building healthy, thriving communities. Their work demonstrates the extraordinary possibilities that emerge when people invest in the places they call home.
We are creating a dynamic resource that inspires curiosity, celebrates local leadership, and shines a light on those making a meaningful impact in the world around them.
Following each screening, audience members are invited to participate in post-film Q&A discussions that encourage thoughtful dialogue and fresh perspectives on neighborhood potential through the eyes of local visionaries.
The Radius Project is an initiative of The Artist Archive, a 501(c)(3) organization sponsored by New York Foundation for the Arts. Student filmmakers play an active role in our productions, gaining hands-on experience while helping document the stories that shape our communities.
