The Radius Project events encourage parents to interact with other parents to share strategies for plans on the “first conversation” with their children. Our objective is to encourage ongoing, practical chats with children about:

  • Who are artists? What do they do?

  • Who are environmentalists? What is their local impact?

  • Who are volunteers? What meaningful friendships emerge from helping the people around us?

What is our imagination? How do we help younger people learn to use this thinking skill and recognize examples of creative thinking and imagination in their own neighborhoods?

Key Ways Parents Learn From Each Other

  • Observational Modeling: Parents often learn by watching other parents handle unique situations,

  • Intentional Communication: Regular discussions with other parents, sharing values and long-term practical goals, blended with impact.

  • Real-Time Collaboration: families exploring their own communities to explore public art, artist studio locations, environmental accomplishments, and examples of volunteerism.

  • Parents share problem-solving skills and discussions that are relevant to the local quality of life. Invite younger minds to participate and submit solutions.
